Verbal-Linguistic Howard Gardner is the creator of the theory of Multiple Intelligences. Gardner who is a neuropsychologist and educator from Harvard Graduate School of Education presented his theory in the book titled Frames of Mind:The Theory of Multiple Intelligences in 1983. Originally the book was directed to psychologist, but have found a good ground among teachers.

The basic theory of Multiple Intelligences can be summarized in this words: Gardner theory is based on the assumption that every person has at least eight intelligences or eight distinct cognitive abilities. These intelligences work together, although as semi-antonomous cognitive entities. Each person develops some of them more than others. Different cultures and segments of society place different emphasis on the intelligences.
